A tired and boring saturday in my own words as i practically did nothing for the most half of the day. In fact just woke up not too long ago after falling asleep only in the morning as i came back home very late last night after hanging out with Willie and gang over at Yishun Dam.
In fact i played soccer over at ECP with my Utd pals in the evening before meeting up with them at Seletar. Basically, we just chit-chatted the night away there as they had no plans on what to do or where to go. As i was pretty tired myself after a long day at work during the day, thus was very accomodating this time round. Haha!
Well, like i said earlier, i had a very eventful outing last night at East Coast with many of my Man Utd buddies. We sort of had this futsal soccer event for all the members of the Man Utd S'pore Supporters Club. At first we were thinking of organising it at our regular hunt which was the cage at Kallang but at the end of the day someone suggested this new place at East Coast Park, thus the main organisers thought that it wouldn't hurt to try out this new place. Furthermore, the only remaining time slot that was available for the cage was at midnight which was pretty inconvenient for most of us.
Anyway, turn out that we had to thank our lucky stars for chosing the one at ECP instead as the conditions there were so much better than the cage. In fact, it was so good that everyone of us agreed on going back there the next time instead of playing at the cage. Pitch wise, it was pretty much the same. Well, what could you expect more out of artificial grass. However, the main factor that all of us agreed on was that the ventilation over at ECP was way, way better than that at the cage.
Anyone of you who has ever played at the cage would know that it's very stuffy inside the arena, be it whether ya playing or resting. However, there's no such issue at ECP. Moreover, the drinks there were cheap too. The lady that was selling us the drinks were very friendly, with a smile on her face at all times. All in all, we played for nearly 3 hours though we only ended up paying for like 2 hours of charge, which was pretty good and value for money. For those who drove, there wasn't any parking issue and there were plenty of food joints like BK and Mackers around the corner for us to have our meals after the game, which by the way, we did ate at BK afterall.
I did not really envisaged much people turning up for the game as it was pretty far out at ECP and on a friday evening too. However, there was a pretty good turn out afterall as there were more than 25 people who came. Some were regulars while others were new members of the club. At the end of the day, made many new friends, which was the most satisfying thing of all as i personally love making new friends, and to think all of them had the same common interest as me, that was supporting our beloved Red Devils.
Anyway, special thanks to Andrew for booking the futsal court. Really looking forward to our next futsal event. For those Man Utd supporters out there who's interested in joining this fantastic club, please feel free to log into http://www.manutdsg.com to sign up. Do not waste anymore precious time already. All of us would welcome you with our open arms, i swear.
As for those who are more interested in playing futsal at the ECP, well, feel free to read up on the advertisement below for more details.
