That's what Friends are for
What happens when ya very sick and your exams are just round the corner but so happens that one of your very close friend just broke up with her bf. Would you rush down to be by her side or would you stay home to either rest or study?
Well, this exact scenario happened to me last night just as i woke up from my afternoon nap. There were numerous amount of miss calls from my peeps. At first, i thought that they were meeting up in the night but after talking to Joanna, i found out the shocking news. My sister Min had just broken up with her bf. After conferencing with Joanna and her over the phone, i immediately rushed down to Toa Payoh to meet up with her. By then, Eddy and Sharon were already there after getting hold of the news themselves. The funny thing was that when i heard that she broke up with her bf, and then to actually hear the way she cried over the phone myself, totally made me forgot that i was in fact sick or that my exams were going to be held next week. That's the strange thing! But i guessed all true friends in this world would have had the same reactions as me and done the same things too.
Consoling her actually brought back memories of my own plight last year, though only this time the tables were changed as the main lead in the picture wasn't me but her though the rest of the cast were still the same old people. Haha! As she fought back her tears, i wondered to myself why beautiful things such as relationships never lasts. What do we have to do in order to make them stay the way they are. Sometimes i really wonder. Anyway, what's there to be said, i guessed i've already said that to her. Now, it's all up to her to be strong in order for her to eventually overcome this difficult phrase of time, though i bet all her peeps, me included, would rally around her and be there for her when she needs us. That's what friends are for, ain't i right?
Well, how ironic it may seem sometimes as just when i witnessed a relationship breaking down with my own eyes, another one that would most probably create a stir is gonna happen soon. Only this time, the person in question would be yours truely. Haha! Yup! It's me. Not kidding anyone. I've started to fall in love with someone who's well, simply a very nice gal with a wonderful character, i reckoned in my own words. As it's still too early to disclose any further facts thus, i would stop here. When the time is ripe, i would announce to the world and make known the fact that i'm attached at long last, but that's only IF we are an item as nothing has even happened yet for the time being. But for now, the Calvin which you guys know is still happily single and available. Hee Hee!
