Life is short and unpredictable. We always get reminded to treasure our lives and the one whom we love and care. But when it happened... you always feel that you could have done more!

Went to the temple yesterday morning and would be making another trip to another temple in a few hours to pay my respects to someone who was very, very close to me in the past and whom still is except for the fact that he had since left this world. For those of you who's still not sure what the occasion was besides bearing the knowledge that Good Friday had just passed, well, it's Qing Ming festival to the chinese.

The time of the year whereby everyone goes to the temple or cemetry to show their respects to their respective love ones who had left them, be it their grandparents, parents or friends etc.

Come to think of it, this was the 7th year since he left me. How time really flies. With a blink of an eye, i'm already this bloody old already and has since coped with the loss of him after the initial few hard years after his death though i would be lying if i said i did not miss him. In fact, i still do shed the occasional few droplets of tears whenever i think or dreamt bout him.

When you lose someone close to you, you will be sad for a very long time. That sadness proves how much of a connection you had with the person and also relates to how frightened you may feel about death yourself. It’s completely natural.

You need to talk out your feelings with someone you trust who won’t interrupt you. Crying is natural. You’ve suffered a terrible loss. Know that not everyone will understand. It helps to talk to people who’ve experienced the same thing. It will take awhile for your mind to get used to the loss but it will happen.

This may seem to apply to relationships too but believe me, it's entirelly different. When u break up with someone, deep down in your heart, you know that he/she would still be around no matter what happens, and that you could still be friends with one another, be it straight after the break up or in the future. However, when someone leaves you for the other world, there's really just so, so many things which you might want to relate to him/her but knowing jolly well that there ain't any means at all, even if ya the richest man on planet earth.

So, life is very unpredictable, treasure the one whom you care and show them your love ... before it's too late! Learnt from my mistake cos that's one of my greatest regret till this day in my life.

" i still do miss you and love you very much. there's not a single day that has passed without thinking bout you. you were the person whom i respected the most before and will still be the special one whom i will forever respect till the day i leave to go join you. rest in peace. "
